About the Photographer

Amy Johanson is an equestrian photographer and videographer based out of Medway, Massachusetts. She has been involved with horses for her entire life and understands the passion and drive this sport requires, as well as the relationship between each horse and their rider that goes beyond a simple “get on and go”. As an active member of the equestrian community, Amy understands her clients because she’s a lot like they are.

Amy has traveled winter and summer show circuits as a photographer for both The Book LLC and Shawn McMillen Photography, covering shows such as the Winter Equestrian Festival, Old Salem, Devon, Saratoga, Lake Placid, Pony Finals, and Capital Challenge.

Between horse shows, Amy offers horse and rider sessions, studio portraits, and video work for individuals and brands. She pushes herself to constantly be better and learn more, and couldn’t imagine her life without a camera in her hands.
